This picture and excerpt were sent to us by The Wira Family. We’ve known the Wira’s since Thomas and Lydia were in Kindergarten. Keith has also been blessed to teach 3 out of 4 of the Wira girls in his 7th grade CCD class at St. Catherine. Michelle and Abigail became friends even though they were in different grades. We are thankful that God let us cross paths with them 14 years ago.
Ellen took this photo of what was to be Michelle’s last time on the stage at Highlands as a Bird Girl in Suessical. It was Robert’s first year on the stage crew. I am so happy that Michelle and Robert had that time together. The Lily excerpt she said reminded her of Michelle.
“We can’t know why the lily has so brief a time to bloom in the warmth of sunlight’s kiss upon it’s face before it folds into its fragrance and bids the world goodnight to rest its beauty in a gentler place. But we can know that nothing loved is ever lost and no one who has touched a heart can truly pass away because some beauty lingers on in each memory of which they’ve been a part.” ~Ellen Brenneman
Thank you to the Wira Family. We are grateful for your friendship over the years.
